The training programme is geared towards all levels of fitness especially beginners and for those that have never completed a triathlon.

Late registrations will be available to a very limited number of participants tomorrow evening from 6.30 or on Saturday morning from 8-9.30 pending on slots available.A one day license is still needed and can only be purchased until midnight.People with a full license can also register but this also is pending on a very limited number of slots available.

1. How do I become a volunteer for your event?
Please contact us via our contact page if you are interested in helping us out on the day.
2. What is the race distance?
It is a Sprint distance race which consists of a 750m swim – 19km bike – 5km run.
3. Can a relay team compete?
Yes. A relay team consists of 3 people; 1 to complete the swim, 1 to complete the cycle and 1 to complete the run. Please select the relevant entry category if you are entering as a relay team.
4. What are the entry fees for Tri Kingdom Come this year?
€50 for individual entry, €75 for relay team entry.
5. I can’t make it. Can I swap places with someone else?
Any swapping of entries must be in writing, 2 weeks before the race itself, is the cut off date for swaps. Names and TI numbers are required of both persons in order for a swap to take place. There are no refunds.
6. How many participants will Tri Kingdom Come allow for?
400 (includes relay teams)
7. Is Tri Kingdom Come a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned event?
Yes. In order to compete Tri Kingdom Come participants must be either full members of Triathlon Ireland and if not must produce a One Day Licence (ODL). An ODL can be purchased online from Triathlon Ireland from April 1st for €15. Midnight Thursday 16th August is the last possible date you can purchase an ODL. To purchase click here.

9. What time will the race start?
Race start will start at approx 11.00am. All participants must be registered, body marked and have picked up their timing chip.Registration takes place in the Boat Club in Fenit on Friday evening from 6.30-8.oopm and agin on Saturday morning from 8.00 until 9.30.
10. Is there a staggered swim start?
Yes. In the interest of safety, there will be a wave start.
11. Do you have a course map?
Yes, course maps are available in the Route Details Section
12. How do I register?
Please go to the registration page and follow the instructions.
13. What about insurance?
Competitors who are not full Triathlon Ireland members (Grey Card) MUST purchase a one day race licence IN ADVANCE of race day from Triathlon Ireland (www.triathlonireland.com). Participants can buy their licence any time up until 72 hrs ahead of race and then TI will email us with your name 24 hrs in advance.
14. Do you accept fax or phone-in registrations?
No. We only accept online registrations.
15. What are the processing fees for registering for the event?
The registration fees listed in FAQ #4 are exclusive of any processing/administrative chages.
16. Will I receive confirmation of my entry?
Yes. Triathlon Ireland provides a facility to check your registration.
17. Which equipment is needed for the swim?
Swim cap (provided in the race pack), goggles or mask (optional), wetsuit (mandatory) and swimsuit or tri suit. Fins & other propulsion devices are not allowed.
18. Are you allowed to use a mountain bike?
Yes. You may use a mountain bike, hybrid/city bike, road bike or triathlon bike.
19. What equipment is mandatory for the bike section?
A bike and a bike helmet are required. Your bike must be in good working condition with your bike race number properly attached. We recommend having your bicycle checked through a reputable bike shop prior to the event. We also advise to bring along all necessary equipment for changing a flat tire or making minor adjustments to your bike.
21. Will drafting be allowed?
No. The “Draft Zone” is a rectangle surrounding every competitor that is 3 metres wide and extends to 10 metres behind the front wheel of the competitor’s bicycle. The front edge of the front bicycle wheel will define the centre of the leading 3-metre edge of the rectangle. A competitor may enter the draft zone but must be seen to be making forward progress. A maximum of 15 seconds will be allowed for a competitor to pass through the draft zone.
22. What mandatory equipment do I need for the run?
Race number and timing chip (will be included in your race pack which you will receive at registration). Race numbers are to be attached on the front of your body and timing chips must be securely strapped to your ankle.
23. What is the transition area?
The transition area is a common area where participants rack their bike, run and swim gear before and during the race. It is also your assigned spot where you will transition from swim to bike and bike to run. Relay teams have a designated region in the t-area where they exchange their timing chip strap from swimmer to cyclist and cyclist to runner.
24. What time does the transition area open and close in the morning?

25. Who is allowed in the transition area?
Only race participants who have been body marked, have picked up their timing chip and have attached their bike race number to their bike, and transition area volunteers and race officials are the only people allowed into the transition area. Please no family members or friends in the transition area. A spectator area will be cordoned off alongside the transition area, so supporters are guaranteed not to miss any of the race action.

Open Water Swim Lessons

Tralee Tri Club Supports Cycle Against Suicide Event
Cycle Against Suicide is an initiative started by Irish entrepreneur, Jim Breen, as a result of his appearance on RTE’s The Secret Millionaire programme.
The main objective of the Cycle is to raise awareness of the considerable help and supports that are available for anyone battling depression, self harm, at risk of suicide or those bereaved by suicide.
The Cycle, which takes place from Monday, April 22nd to Sunday, May 5th 2013, creates a very tangible and practical opportunity for people who want to support those who have been affected by suicide.
Come join us to support a great cause and we’ll have a bit of craic along the way!

For any club member ( female only!sorry lads) who is interested in a women’s only triathlon camp in lanzarote next January I would highly recommend this training camp.It books out quickly,sun sea and training, how bad!The camp is lead by Tanja Slater a former GB Elite Professional Triathlete and Professional Cyclist. Beginners to advanced levels are all catered for.
